About Our Client
We are currently working with a local conglomerate who is looking a competent Building Manager to help them in this time of growth.
Job Description
Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, and fire safety equipment.Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal functioning of building systems.Conduct regular inspections of the building and systems to identify issues and address them promptly.Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and contractors, assigning tasks and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to high standards.Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants regarding maintenance requests, concerns, and emergencies.Maintain positive relationships with tenants by addressing their needs promptly and effectively.Communicate regularly with tenants regarding maintenance schedules, building updates, and any disruptions.Develop and manage the building maintenance budget, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to meet maintenance needs and priorities.Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.Oversee inspections and testing of building systems and equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Implement and maintain emergency response procedures and protocols.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.Proven experience in building management or facilities maintenance, with a focus on mechanical or electrical systems.Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.Experience managing a team of maintenance technicians and contractors.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
